Paris — The Global Capital
Paris needs no introduction. It's home to Sorbonne, HEC Paris, Sciences Po and dozens of Grandes Écoles, and it's where most of the 570+ French companies with India ties are headquartered — making internship and job hunting genuinely easier here than anywhere else in the country.
The trade-off is cost. Paris is by far the most expensive French city to live in, and finding accommodation close to campus takes effort — most students end up commuting from the outer arrondissements or nearby suburbs. For Business, Law and Engineering students chasing top-tier networking, it's still worth it.
Lyon — France's Second City
Lyon is often described as Paris without the chaos — a major academic and business hub with a noticeably lower cost of living. It's home to strong engineering and business schools, and the city's gastronomy scene (Lyon is considered France's food capital) makes for a genuinely good quality of life.
It's a particularly good fit if you want a French experience that still has size and opportunity, without competing with Paris-level rents and crowds.
Toulouse — The Aerospace Capital

Requirements vary a little by university and program, but here's the general criteria most Indian applicants need to meet.
Bachelor's Programs
- Completed 12th grade (10+2) with a minimum of 60% aggregate
